The Potential of Electric Motorcycles in Indonesia
It isn’t something new anymore that motorcycles are the favourite vehicle of the Indonesian. In fact, almost every house has at least one personal motorcycle. Data from the Badan Pusat Statistik (Central Bureau of Statistics) show that until 2019 the number of motorcycles in circulation was 112,771,136. However, this fantastic number often causes problems, such as increasing congestion levels and resulting in dirty air around us.
The solution to creating an environment with clean air is to increase the use of electric motors. Unlike conventional motors, electric motors are very environmentally friendly because they do not use fuel oil.
Electric Motorcycle
Currently in Indonesia, manufacturers of electric motorcycles/ cars have started to appear with the aim of ‘make Indonesia green’. Because of the electrical technology used is not possible to emit gas emissions that cause air pollution on the streets.
The absence of exhaust fumes means that there will be no additional carbon dioxide. Because the electric motor gets energy from the battery.
Potential of Electric Motorcycle
Seeing the increasing number of personal motorbike owners will not be difficult for electric motors to enter this industry. Because the electric motor can answer several issues related to air pollution and fuel oil. For example, from an environmental point of view, the use of an electric motor offers an alternative fuel. And from a transportation point of view, an electric motor enables a smart transportation system that will improve road utility and safety.
